Spend 3 days in the awe-inspiring Cairngorms National Park hiking some of Scotland’s most magnificent mountains, guided by Mark Reid, a highly experienced Mountain Leader.

Discover little-known paths, adventurous routes, ridges and summits, taking you away from crowds and into a world of majestic mountains. Our routes will take us into the glens and up onto the mountains that surround Braemar in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park, including the famous Derry Cairngorm, Lochnagar and Ben Macdui, Britain’s second highest mountain.

OVERVIEW OF THE WALKS

DAY ONE – Ben Macdui & Central Cairngorms
9:30am:
 Meet at Braemar for a chat about the day
9:30am – 5pm: Full day’s guided mountain walk into the heart of the Cairngorms.
8pm: Meet at a Braemar pub to recount our day’s adventures over a meal and drink (optional; subject to Covid restrictions)

DAY TWO – Lochnagar & Balmoral Forest
9:30am: 
Meet at Braemar for a chat about the day
9:30am – 5pm: 
Full day’s guided mountain walk into the wilderness of Balmoral Forest and Lochnagar mountain range.
8pm: 
Meet at a Braemar pub to recount our day’s adventures over a meal and drink (optional; subject to Covid restrictions)

DAY THREE – Morven & Deeside
9:30am: 
Meet at Braemar for a chat about the day
9:30am – 3pm:
 Half day’s guided walk around the mountains, hills and glens of Deeside.

Please note: The precise routes and mountains will be decided each day, given weather conditions and group needs. All walks will include mountainous terrain, steep ground and mountain summits; we may experience adverse weather conditions. Some walks may include Grade 1 scrambles.
