GET INTO THE GREAT OUTDOORS
We offer a range of unique and enjoyable walking experiences that are perfect for away days, activity days and corporate hospitality.
A walk through inspirational landscapes, with stunning views and nature close at hand, really does bring people together in a subtle but effective way. Walking in the countryside is a multi-sensory experience that clears your mind and allows escapism from the stresses of everyday life.
We incorporate various elements of eco-therapy during your walk to promote thought and reflection and to enhance your experience. From barefoot walking to journey sticks, from wild flowers to the geology of the rocks beneath your feet, we will explore the natural environment to help you get the most out of your walk.
We base our away days from the very best country pubs.
TEAM ACTIVITY DAY EXPERIENCES:
- All walks individually tailored and are suitable for all abilities.
- We can recommend great country pubs for food and/or accommodation.
- Choose from locations throughout the Yorkshire Dales, Lake District or Peak District (or wherever you'd like to go walking).
- Tea & Coffee when we meet in the morning at a great country pub.
- Use of our Berghaus waterproof gear (if required).

Spend an inspirational day surrounded by stunning landscapes, with uninterrupted time to talk, think and reflect, where success and achievement is gained through shared experiences. We will tailor the day for your team, from easy valley walks to more challenging hill or mountain routes.
PACKAGE TWO
Navigation Skills
We teach the skills needed to successfully navigate across the hills, dales and moors. Learn new skills then put them into practice as a team. Maps and compasses provided.
An experience to remember! This afternoon and evening activity will take you out of your comfort zone – high on the hills at night! Finish at a great country pub for a fireside drink. Headtorches, maps and compasses provided.
A real team challenge where you have to devise a strategy to visit as many locations as possible within the time available, navigating your way around a course. Successful completion is reliant upon good teamwork. Maps and compasses provided (no GPS or apps!)
A unique way to entertain your clients and customers. Mark Reid has spent 20 years writing classic pub walks and knows the paths and pubs of the North of England like the back of his hand. Enjoy a carefully planned walk that takes in the very best landscapes, and round off at a classic country pub or – better still – with a tour of a local brewery

EXPERIENCE, FITNESS & GEAR
- No experience required. Full training and guidance will be given. All participants will be guided or shadowed at all times.
- All walks are tailored specifically for each group according to your needs, aspirations, experience and average fitness levels.
- We can provide full BERGHAUS walking gear, including waterproof jackets, trousers, fleeces, rucksacks, gloves and hats.
- We are fully insured (public, civil & professional indemnity insurance)
- All of our instructors are fully qualified and experienced Mountain Leaders
- So far, we have taken over 280 groups out walking (over 2,200 individuals), and have a wealth of experience dealing with corporate clients as well as all ages and abilities.
